Man Utd stage stunning comeback to beat Roma 3-2
Manchester United came from 2-0 down to beat Roma 3-2 in the Champions League, ending a nine-game winless run.
Manchester United staged an improbable comeback to beat Roma 3-2 in the Champions League at Old Trafford, with Matheus Cunha scoring twice in the final minutes after Bruno Fernandes converted a retaken penalty. Trailing 2-0 inside 17 minutes to goals from Matias Soule and Donyell Malen, United were abysmal in the first half and faced continued questions about manager Michael Carrick's future. The second-half turnaround, inspired by Carrick's half-time team talk, ended their nine-game winless run. Cunha was sent off moments after scoring the winner, whilst substitute Shea Lacey provided the assist for the decisive goal. The victory provides Carrick some respite before Sunday's Premier League match against Aston Villa, though his position remains precarious.
