The short version: there are no accounts, no advertising and no tracking. We do not know who you are and we do not try to find out.

Who is responsible

Rockstar AI Ltd (registered in England & Wales No. 17259947) is the controller of any personal data processed through this site. Contact: hello@news.today.

What is processed

• Server logs. Our hosting provider, Vercel, processes your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and keep the service secure. We do not use these to identify or profile anyone.
• One cookie. If you choose a display mode, a cookie called mode remembers it for a year. It holds the name of the mode and nothing else. It is strictly functional, so no consent banner is needed, and you can delete it at any time.
• The “online now” counter. The number in the footer is a live count of open pages. To be counted, your browser opens a connection to our database provider, Supabase, which sees your IP address as any server does. Each page gets a random identifier that lasts only while the page is open. Nothing about it is stored.
• Email. If you write to us, we keep your message for as long as it takes to deal with it and to keep a record of corrections.

What is not

No analytics, no advertising networks, no social media trackers, no fingerprinting, and no sale or sharing of data. Links to news outlets take you to their sites, which have their own policies.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask what we hold about you and ask us to correct or delete it, and you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). In practice we hold nothing about readers beyond any email you send us.
