Portsmouth striker Marko Milovanovic praised his side's mentality after winning consecutive Championship games.

Marko Milovanovic praised Portsmouth's response to losing the south coast derby against Southampton, with the Championship side winning their next two league games to move into 13th place. The summer signing from Spanish side Almeria, who completed a £3m move to Fratton Park in July, scored the winning penalty in Saturday's 1–0 victory over Norwich and has now scored three times in eight Championship appearances this season, his first in English football.

"We showed that we have good mentality as a team and we're strong," Milovanovic told BBC Radio Solent. "The team have recovered well and have shown that on the pitch. The best part of football is that you have another game in a few days after." Portsmouth beat both Sheffield United and Norwich following their defeat at St Mary's.

Looking ahead, Milovanovic expressed his ambition to extend the winning run. "Getting two wins in a row is the most important thing for us. Now we are trying to get three and four wins," he said. Portsmouth travel to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Tuesday night in their next fixture.
