A reimagined production of Dickens' A Christmas Carol will run at Queen's Hall in Hexham from December 5 to January 2.

A reimagined version of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol is to be staged at Queen's Hall in Hexham from December 5 to January 2, marking a return collaboration between Queen's Hall Arts and Triple Treat Theatre.

The cast includes Elijah Young, best known for his role as Stewart in the BBC sitcom Smoggie Queens, alongside County Durham actor and singer Jude Nelson, who has appeared in Our Friends in the North at Newcastle's Theatre Royal. Zoe Lambert, who performed in last year's Queen's Hall production of Red Riding Hood, also returns. Bob Nicholson, co-director of Triple Treat Theatre and co-writer of the production, completes the cast.

Director Paula Penman said: "As a director, it really doesn't get much better than creating a show with a cast this talented." The creative team includes Amy Watts on design, Kate Hunter Parker on puppets, Jeremy Bradfield on composition and sound design, Stuart Hannaran on lighting, and Sophie Teasdale on AV and stage management.

Alongside the main production, Triple Treat Theatre will also present The Snow Globe, a new show for children under six and their families, running in the studio from December 5 to 31.
