Apple will release new Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini models on October 30, with its HomeView smart home hub following in mid-November.

Apple will announce three new smart home devices at its 'Welcome home' event on October 13, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reporting in his Power On newsletter. The new Apple TV 4K, powered by an A19 chip, and a refreshed HomePod mini with an S10 chip will ship to customers and arrive in stores on October 30. The Siri Remote will be refreshed with a speaker to make it easier to find between couch cushions, Gurman reports.

Apple has also tested built-in microphones for the Apple TV 4K to enable users to query Siri without the remote or a paired HomePod, though this feature's inclusion in the shipping device remains unconfirmed.

Apple's new HomeView smart home hub will ship around mid-November. The device will serve as the Siri command center of an Apple-powered home, pairing a display with an A18 chip. It will come in a countertop model with a metal speaker base in space gray, silver, starlight and pink, and a wall-mounted version in space gray and silver only. The HomeView will support a limited selection of Apple applications and will not have a dedicated App Store. Apple has reportedly been working with LG to develop compatible smart home devices including doorbells, thermostats and outdoor security cameras.
