WNBA star Caitlin Clark has published a picture book titled 'EXTRAordinary! A Little EXTRA to Reach BIG Dreams', released on Tuesday. Published by Random House Books for Young Readers, it is written in rhyming verse. Clark said she was closely involved in the creation. 'Everything that you see, I always have a part in,' she said. 'I want people to know I put a lot of time and effort into that.'

The book was inspired by a quote on a mirror in Clark's childhood home: 'The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is the little EXTRA.' The mirror remains in her parents' house. Clark said she hopes to pass it on to her own children one day. 'It's something that hopefully they'll always have for me through life,' she said.

Clark said her mother, an English major and avid reader, helped her with the project. The book focuses on teamwork, perseverance and the love of family, friends and teammates.
