Midlands Air Ambulance Charity has launched a £1 Christmas raffle with a £3,000 top prize to fund lifesaving missions.

Midlands Air Ambulance Charity has launched its 2026 Christmas raffle to raise funds for lifesaving missions. Tickets are priced at £1, with a top prize of £3,000. The raffle is open to anyone aged 18 and over.

The charity receives no government funding and relies entirely on community support to operate. It has responded to more than 80,000 missions since 1991 across the West Midlands, Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, Shropshire and Staffordshire. Emma Wood, head of fundraising and engagement, said: 'When someone needs our help, every second matters. Our crews arrive at the scene with the specialist skills and equipment needed to give patients the best possible chance.'

Chris Leese, who was seriously injured in a motorbike accident in the Staffordshire Moorlands in October 2020, was treated by the air ambulance at the scene. He suffered a traumatic brain injury, collapsed lungs and multiple fractures, and spent three weeks in a coma in hospital. He said: 'My life changed forever following the accident, and thanks to Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, I have been given more time with the people I love.'

Postal entries close on 14 December, with online entries closing on 17 December.
