Alan Titchmarsh is fronting a new ITV series documenting his garden in Surrey after leaving his Hampshire home of 24 years.

Alan Titchmarsh has sold his Hampshire home of nearly 24 years and relocated to Surrey with his wife Alison. He and his wife chose to move to be closer to their daughters. At Manor Farm House in Holybourne near Alton, Titchmarsh cultivated a four-acre garden featuring mature trees, manicured lawns, a summer house and a brick outbuilding.

He is now building a new cottage garden in Surrey and documenting its development. A new 12-part ITV series called My Year In A Cottage Garden With Alan Titchmarsh will show the garden's progress over a year. The show will combine content from his YouTube channel Gardening With Alan Titchmarsh, which launched in 2025 and has close to 200,000 subscribers, alongside original footage, new presenter links and voiceovers.

Titchmarsh said: 'I've been delighted and astonished by the success of my YouTube channel and am even more chuffed that it will be spreading its wings on ITV.' He added: 'Gardening has been my lifetime's passion and sharing that love and the skills I've learned is the greatest privilege of all.' Despite his move, Titchmarsh has revealed he still finds it difficult to look at photographs of his old Hampshire garden.
