Two Trainers Card Co opened its doors at 5 Brogden Street in Ulverston on Saturday, 24 October. The shop offers a range of Pokémon and trading items for budding collectors, enthusiasts and people considering taking up the hobby.
The owners said they were 'blown away' by the response. 'The amount of people who came through the doors, the excitement, the smiles, and the love shown to us has been incredible,' they said. 'We've dreamed of bringing this shop to life, and seeing so many of you come down, support us, and share the excitement with us has made all the hard work worth it.'
The shop was created to address difficulties in obtaining Pokémon products at affordable prices. 'Between limited availability, growing demand and rising prices, something that should be fun and accessible for everyone was becoming increasingly expensive, especially for parents trying to enjoy the hobby with their children,' the owners explained. Their aim is to create a welcoming space where children, parents and collectors of all ages can enjoy the hobby, find products and feel fairly treated. The owners indicated there are 'exciting' plans for the future.
