Amanda Owen's Anty John's farmhouse in the Yorkshire Dales is being converted into individual rooms upstairs.

Amanda Owen's renovation of Anty John's, a historic farmhouse near Ravenseat Farm in the Yorkshire Dales, continues to progress. The latest episode of Channel 4's Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids, broadcast on Monday, October 26, shows carpenter Dan working on the upper floor to divide the open upstairs space into individual rooms. This represents another important stage in the restoration project that Owen and her former husband Clive have undertaken.

The work follows earlier renovation stages including plastering, painting and laying new flooring. The restoration has required considerable patience, specialist skills and help from local tradespeople. Progress has often been complicated by the building's age, its exposed location in one of the most remote parts of North Yorkshire, and the unpredictable weather of the Yorkshire Dales.

Anty John's is situated close to Ravenseat, where Owen and Clive have raised their nine children. Ravenseat is a tenanted property, and restoring Anty John's offers an opportunity to create a more permanent base for future generations. Owen has previously explained that the project is intended to provide security and opportunities for her children as they grow older.
