Apple Music is adding a Selfie Sing feature that lets users record themselves singing karaoke videos in iOS 27.3.

Apple Music is launching a new 'Selfie Sing' feature with iOS 27.3, which is now available in beta. The feature allows users to record themselves singing along to songs whilst lyrics scroll across the screen in real time.

The feature builds on Apple Music's 'Sing' karaoke functionality, which was introduced in 2022 and let users take over the vocals of songs. Selfie Sing comes with its own dedicated playlist of popular tracks, though the feature is not supported by Apple Music's entire catalogue. Songs on the playlist include 'Since U Been Gone' by Kelly Clarkson, 'What Makes You Beautiful' by One Direction, 'Like a Virgin' by Madonna, 'Baby One More Time' by Britney Spears and '9 to 5' by Dolly Parton.

Users can select a song and tap a camera icon to begin recording. After recording, they can adjust the volume of their voice or add effects including Megaphone, Echo, Concert Hall and Studio. Videos can then be saved to the Photos library or shared with others. iOS 27.3 is expected to be widely available in December.
