Lacie Nemchick, quarterback for Arizona's top-ranked Highland Hawks flag football team, is attracting national attention for her passing arm.

Lacie Nemchick, a junior quarterback for Arizona's top-ranked Highland Hawks flag football team, is attracting national attention for her arm. Head coach Kenny Golladay described it as 'the real deal', saying 'You'll see smoke behind it [the ball].' Teammates called her ability 'crazy', 'amazing' and 'incredible'.

Nemchick leads the state in passing yards, averaging 332.8 through 11 games. She has thrown 54 touchdown passes, rushed for eight touchdowns and thrown only five interceptions. She has received multiple college offers, including a full scholarship from Nebraska, making her the first flag football player in Arizona to receive an offer from a Power Four school.

Nemchick was invited to the prestigious Manning Passing Academy, where she trained with Peyton and Eli Manning. A sports agency specialising in name, image and likeness marketing recently signed her. The NFL's main Instagram account reposted a video made by her quarterback coach, which has been viewed more than 7 million times.

Golladay noted that despite her success, Nemchick stood out initially for her humility. Teammate Ela Witcher, a sophomore wide receiver, said 'Usually you see those like those super good athletes and you think of them as like kind of full of themselves. But Lacie is like the opposite of that. She brings up other people and just makes them want to play just as well as she does.'
