The award-winning West End show Comedy About Spies will tour the UK for the first time, with performances at Norwich Theatre Royal from September 7 to 11, 2027. The production was created by the team behind The Play That Goes Wrong and is written by Henry Lewis and Henry Shields, original members of theatre group Mischief.
The play won the 2026 WhatsOnStage Award for Best New Play and was nominated for an Olivier Award for Best New Entertainment or Comedy Play. It is described as a 'hilarious 1960s spy escapade' in which a rogue British agent steals plans for a secret weapon.
The story quickly descends into chaos as spies, double agents and an unsuspecting young couple collide in a web of mistaken identities and miscommunication. Henry Lewis said the team was 'so excited for The Comedy About Spies to head out on tour and entertain audiences up and down the UK'. Tickets go on public sale from November 27.
