A drug dealer has been jailed for two years after police found 48 wraps of cocaine in his car.
Jobson Laurindo, 29, of The Pony Field, Weston Turville, was sentenced to two years in prison at Aylesbury Crown Court on Monday 12 October after pleading guilty to drug dealing charges. Just after 2.30pm on 4 June, officers from the Aylesbury Proactive Team observed Laurindo driving a silver Ford Mondeo in Aylesbury. The vehicle stopped in Meadowcroft, where Laurindo got out and entered a shop. Officers, who suspected he was involved in the supply of Class A drugs, detained him and searched both him and the vehicle. They found 48 individual wraps of cocaine concealed in the driver's door pocket and seized a mobile phone from the vehicle.
Examination of the phone uncovered messages showing Laurindo was involved in dealing cocaine on several occasions. Laurindo was arrested the same day and charged on 5 June. Police said the investigation was part of ongoing work to tackle serious and organised crime and disrupt the supply of illegal drugs in local communities. Investigating officer PC Burridge said the sentence 'reflects the seriousness of Laurindo's offending and demonstrates our commitment to pursuing those involved in the supply of illegal drugs'.
