Priske scores twice as Birmingham beat Lincoln 3-1

Summarised from 2 outlets · Updated 31 Oct, 15:38 · Archive

August Priske scored twice as Birmingham defeated Lincoln 3-1 in the Championship at Sincil Bank, bouncing back from their previous defeat at Cardiff. The Danish striker scored either side of the break, with Alex Cochrane securing the win after Lincoln substitute Tom Bayliss had reduced the deficit to 2-1. The result moved Birmingham at least temporarily into second place.

Birmingham went ahead in the 16th minute with a goal that relied on some fortune. A Blues pass was inadvertently directed towards his own goal by Lincoln's Yunus Konak, straight to Priske on the edge of the box, and he swivelled and fired a low shot into the bottom corner.

During the first half, Birmingham's Ethan Laird could have been sent off after half an hour when he booted Lincoln forward Ben House in the face whilst attempting to bring down a clearance. Referee Lewis Smith produced only a yellow card.
