Indie rock band Courteeners will headline Live at Ludlow Castle on Friday 16 July 2027. The Manchester-based five-piece will be joined by Merseyside legends The Coral and rising Manchester indie outfit The Guest List as supporting acts, as part of the annual Live at Ludlow Castle concert series.

Courteeners burst onto the scene with their acclaimed debut album St. Jude in 2008, which featured songs including Not Nineteen Forever and What Took You So Long. The album made history in 2023, becoming the album with the longest gap between release and topping the UK chart, at 14 years, 9 months and 7 days. The band have sold more than one million UK albums and are known for tracks such as Modern Love and Are You in Love With A Notion?.

Fronted by songwriter Liam Fray, Courteeners have released seven studio albums, most recently Pink Cactus Café in 2024. This year they released a best-of compilation album called God Bless The Band, which they are performing as part of their current tour. The band have been together for 20 years and have become one of the defining names of British indie rock, regularly selling out major arenas and headlining major festivals.

The Coral, joining them at Ludlow Castle, are known for their distinctive blend of psychedelic rock and indie music. The Wirral band enjoyed major success in the early 2000s with hits including Dreaming of You and Pass It On, and were nominated for the Mercury Music Prize following the release of their self-titled debut album in 2002.

Live at Ludlow Castle began in 2023, with 50,000 people visiting this year over two weekends to see acts including Snow Patrol, Paul Weller and The Human League. Other headliners already announced for the concert series include McFly, Becky Hill and Paul Heaton. Tickets for Courteeners will go on sale for people in the local area on 4 November and for general sale on 6 November.
