Summarised from 3 outlets · Updated 4 Nov, 23:34 · Archive
Colchester Zoo has reopened its sell-out reindeer experience for the festive season.
Colchester Zoo has announced the return of its sell-out Christmas reindeer experience. The experience will run on selected dates across November, December and January, with sessions available at 10am and 3.30pm.
Visitors will meet three reindeer named North, Alaska and Winter, accompanied by a keeper. Participants will learn about the animals and may be offered the chance to give them treats. Each booking costs £20 for a group of up to five people. Children aged under three and assistants are included within the five-person limit.
The experience is suitable for all ages, though at least one adult aged 18 or over must be present and responsible for any child taking part. The zoo said the experience is being promoted as an upgrade to a festive day out and is available to book now.
The zoo has emphasised that places are limited and availability is restricted to selected dates rather than running daily throughout the three-month period. It advised visitors to book as far in advance as possible, warning that limited capacity could mean people miss out if they delay making a reservation.
