Cornish Pirates have signed 24-year-old Australian back Dan O'Brien for the rest of the season.

Cornish Pirates have signed 24-year-old Australian back Dan O'Brien on a deal until the end of the season. O'Brien is versatile across the back three and at centre, and has recently returned to the UK after playing for his hometown club Randwick in the Shute Shield.

O'Brien was previously part of the Ealing side that won the 2024-25 Championship title. He is the second new signing the club has made in as many days, following former Scotland Under-19s hooker Dylan Neill. Cornish Pirates joint-head coach Gavin Cattle said: 'He's proven at Championship level, versatile across the back three and centre, and most importantly a man of good character.'
