Bus passengers in Derbyshire are being urged to shine their phone screens at stops to help drivers see them.

Bus passengers in Derbyshire are being advised to shine their phone screens at bus stops to make themselves more visible to drivers. A bus operator stated that in busy and dynamic regions it is often not straightforward for drivers to see who is waiting for a bus or just standing close to the stop.

The guidance appears designed to help drivers distinguish between passengers intending to board and other people in the area. No further details about the campaign or which bus operator issued the advice were provided in the reports.
