US President Donald Trump posted footage of a fatal tiger attack at Yorkshire Wildlife Park in Doncaster on his social media platform.
William Chapman, a man in his 20s, was fatally attacked by a tiger at Yorkshire Wildlife Park in Doncaster on Saturday after entering the enclosure. The Huddersfield Examiner reports that Mr Chapman had suffered from significant mental illness over a number of years and appeared to have filmed himself approaching the animal. A short clip showed the tiger lying on a wooden platform as the person filming breathed heavily and distant voices shouted in alarm.
US President Donald Trump posted footage of the attack on his Truth Social platform accompanied by the message 'Don't ever mess with nature!' He followed this with a separate post featuring a video montage showing other people being mauled by lions, and later posted an AI-generated video of himself playing with a tiger.
Mr Chapman's family issued a statement saying they were 'utterly devastated' by their loss. They expressed concern that 'the publication and circulation of deeply offensive media content is causing them severe distress at an exceptionally vulnerable time'.
