The Atlanta Dream and State Farm Arena arranged a private suite for former NBA player Enes Kanter Freedom at Game 3 of the WNBA Finals for his protection.

The Atlanta Dream and State Farm Arena arranged a private suite with additional security for former NBA player Enes Kanter Freedom to watch Game 3 of the WNBA Finals against the Golden State Valkyries on Wednesday night. Freedom had contacted federal, state and local authorities, the WNBA, the Dream and arena officials to express concerns about his personal safety during his planned attendance.

State Farm Arena said in a statement that 'the safety and security of our guests and team members is our highest priority'. The suite was designated as Freedom's viewing location for the game, with state police assigning an officer to him at his request.

Freedom announced on social media on Monday that he planned to attend. It is his first WNBA game since late August, when he attended a Chicago Sky game against Indiana. He was ejected from that game and banned from the arena following a heated interaction with Sky guard Natasha Cloud. Freedom said he was motivated to attend the Finals game after learning that Golden State star Gabby Williams expressed support for a trans athlete playing in the league.
