Essex Police arrested three drivers on suspicion of drink or drug driving within days of each other.

Essex Police made three separate arrests on suspicion of drink or drug driving in quick succession. A Colchester man was found to be more than three times the legal drink-drive limit after crashing his car at a roundabout. Essex Police also arrested a driver in Chelmsford who was operating a vehicle missing a tyre, which officers described as 'extraordinarily dangerous'. The vehicle was banned from use until the tyre was repaired. A third arrest followed an incident in Waltham Abbey on October 2, when a car crashed into a house. Police suspect drink or drug driving in that case. Two people received hospital treatment following the Waltham Abbey crash.
