Summarised from 3 outlets · Updated 20 Oct, 09:28 · Archive

The Essex County Christmas Fair returns to Boreham House, Chelmsford, from 13 to 15 November with more than 150 independent traders selling handmade gifts and seasonal attractions. The fair will offer jewellery, fashion, homeware, Christmas decorations, stocking fillers and artisan chocolates across heated marquees and outdoor stalls.

Food vendors will serve German sausages, Christmas dinner sandwiches, roasted chestnuts, toasted marshmallows and other sweet treats, with mulled wine also available.

Live entertainment will run throughout the weekend, featuring performers including Bombshell Rheanne, saxophonist Paula Borrell, The Buskerteers choir, The Harmonettes, The Crafty Jazzers and The Sound Collective. Festive stilt walkers and illuminated performers will also perform, with Evie's Owls and a Ferris wheel among other attractions. Father Christmas will make regular appearances across all three days, meeting visitors and posing for photographs.

Darren Perry, owner of Prestige County Events, said: 'Every year, we bring together more independent traders and a wider choice of gifts, and this year is no exception. With over 150 traders, visitors can discover special handmade and unique presents, meet the people behind them and enjoy a festive day out.'

The fair opens from 2pm to 8pm on Friday, 10am to 6pm on Saturday and 10am to 5pm on Sunday. Advance daytime tickets cost £9 for adults, £7 for seniors and £5 for children aged three to 15, while under-threes enter free.
