Defender Ezri Konsa, who joined Arsenal from Aston Villa, is determined to help the club win trophies including the Champions League.

Ezri Konsa has made a strong start at Arsenal following his move from Aston Villa in the summer. The centre-back, who grew up as an Arsenal fan, said he is eager to help the club win silverware. "You dream of playing for big clubs like this," Konsa said. "When you're a kid, you see the likes of Arsenal, growing up, and the amount of quality players they've had throughout the years and to be here – and not only to be here but to be here with close friends – makes it even more special."

Arsenal have won 10 of their last 11 matches this season and kept clean sheets throughout their recent run. Konsa demonstrated his defensive quality in Arsenal's latest match against Nottingham Forest on Sunday, making a crucial last-minute block tackle to preserve a 1-0 victory. The Mirror Sport reports his transfer fee was £55m, whilst The Guardian reports it as £51m.

Arsenal face Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday. Konsa previously won the Europa League with Aston Villa last season and is now targeting success in the Champions League with his new club.
