Stacey Solomon divides fans with orange bathroom makeover

Stacey Solomon has revamped a dated orange bathroom at her Essex home, keeping its retro features and adding white-and-orange striped walls and a tangerine bath set.

Stacey Solomon has revealed her first makeover at her new £2.2 million Essex countryside home, which she shares with husband Joe Swash. The TV personality revamped a dated orange bathroom, choosing to update its retro features rather than remove them entirely. The suite now features white-and-orange striped walls and a tangerine bath set with gold accents.

Solomon said she loved the design and could not throw away the tangerine bath set because it was so pretty. She noted that the boys' upstairs bathroom was an opportunity to bring colour back to life, and that she has plenty of neutral rooms elsewhere in the property.

Fan reactions have been split. Some praised the unconventional design, with one commenter saying 'Only you could make an orange bathroom suite look good.' Others criticised specific elements, saying the towel and toilet-roll holders looked 'off centre', whilst some compared the room to the bathroom in a vintage Sindy's doll's house. One Facebook user defended the design, writing 'People have different tastes, what would the world be like if we all liked the same thing?'

The property stands on 30 acres and has six reception rooms.
