Promoter Frank Warren aims to stage heavyweight world-title unification fights in 2027 and wants former undisputed champion Oleksandr Usyk to return.

Frank Warren is planning a series of heavyweight world-title unification fights in 2027 and has called for former undisputed champion Oleksandr Usyk to return to boxing. Warren told the 5 Live Boxing podcast: 'The plan is to make the unification fights happen and try to get Usyk back in it. No-one can say we're keeping guys apart.' The division's four major titles are now held by different champions, with Warren promoting three of them.

Warren's immediate focus is on Saturday's WBO title rematch between Daniel Dubois and Fabio Wardley at the O2 Arena in London. The winner will be well-positioned to pursue further world titles in 2027. In December, Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua will meet in Cardiff for the WBA 'super' heavyweight championship. The BBC reports that the WBA has put that belt up for the fight, though the sanctioning body has yet to publicly confirm the arrangement.

Usyk became the first undisputed heavyweight champion of the four-belt era when he beat Fury in May 2024. Warren also promotes WBC champion Agit Kabayel and IBF title-holder Filip Hrgovic, who will be part of his 2027 plans.
