A GoFundMe fundraiser has been launched to support the family of Emmie, who died suddenly in Colchester on 26 September. The page was set up by Fiona Bool, founder of community interest company Be More Dandelion, where Emmie was a member of the team.

Ms Bool described Emmie as a 'beautiful friend' who 'brought warmth, humour, kindness and an enormous amount of heart into every space she entered'. She said Emmie 'loved being around people', 'loved helping others' and 'was incredibly proud to be part of Be More Dandelion'.

Ms Bool launched the fundraiser after speaking to Emmie's family. She said that Emmie's children and family are 'trying to navigate the unimaginable while also arranging Emmie's funeral and everything that comes with losing someone so suddenly'.

Money raised will go towards funeral expenses and other immediate costs. Any funds remaining will be used to support Emmie's family. Ms Bool said the fundraiser aims to 'take away even a small part of that practical and financial pressure'.

Memorial events are being put together in memory of Emmie. Ms Bool emphasised there was 'absolutely no expectation to donate'.
