A Halloween concert at Didcot Civic Hall featuring local bands The Curse of Khan and Lunar Kites raised funds for two charities.

A Halloween concert at Didcot Civic Hall on Saturday featured local bands The Curse of Khan and Lunar Kites. The event was organised by Didcot mayor David Rouane as a fundraiser for his chosen charities: Sustainable Didcot and Didcot Railway Centre.

Sustainable Didcot is a community action group for residents interested in environmental sustainability and climate change awareness. Didcot Railway Centre is located next to Didcot Parkway and celebrates the town's history while engaging young people in learning how things work.

Mr Rouane said both organisations showcase what is best about Didcot. He noted that the two charities have worked together during school summer holidays to provide free lunches and entertainment for less advantaged members of the community.
