Channel 4 has commissioned two new series of Our Farm Next Door, following Amanda Owen's restoration of Anty John's farmhouse in Swaledale.

Channel 4 has announced that Our Farm Next Door will return for a fifth and sixth series, with Leeds-based Wise Owl Films commissioned to produce ten further hour-long episodes. The renewal comes as the fourth-series finale airs on 2 November, marking a major milestone as Amanda Owen and her daughters prepare for their first overnight stay at Anty John's farmhouse, the first time anyone has slept there in many decades.

The Yorkshire Shepherdess and her family have spent years restoring the historic Anty John's in Swaledale, which had fallen into disrepair. Their efforts have been documented in More4's Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids, which follows the family as they bring the property back to life while managing their farming activities at Ravenseat. The fourth-series finale also shows Amanda and her children moving furniture into the farmhouse as its interior finally begins to take shape.

Series five will pick up immediately after the family's first overnight stay, following their lives from early summer 2026 through to spring 2027. The new episodes will continue to explore the history of the building and one of its former owners, 19th-century mapmaker Anthony Clarkson, whose diaries will provide insight into the area almost 200 years ago. Channel 4 has said the diaries will reveal parallels between Clarkson's experiences and those of the Owen family today.

Anty John's is situated in Swaledale within the Yorkshire Dales National Park, close to Ravenseat Farm. The restoration project has involved Amanda, former husband Clive Owen, their nine children and local builders and tradespeople. The family have undertaken major building work while dealing with the demands of farming and the changing seasons in one of the most isolated parts of the Yorkshire Dales.
