Hear'Say and Liberty X are reuniting for a UK and Ireland arena tour, 25 years after being formed on the TV show Popstars.

Hear'Say and Liberty X are reuniting for their first joint arena tour, 25 years after being formed on the talent show Popstars. The tour, titled Popstars: The Originals, will visit 13 cities across the UK and Ireland, beginning in Dublin in April before heading to Belfast, Bournemouth, Nottingham, Brighton, Cardiff, Birmingham, Leeds, Newcastle, Glasgow, London, Manchester and Liverpool.

Hear'Say will perform with four of the original members, excluding Myleene Klass. The band had early 2000s hits including Pure and Simple and The Way to Your Love. Liberty X, formed from other Popstars finalists, enjoyed success with singles such as Just a Little, Thinking It Over and Being Nobody.

Kym Marsh, a member of Hear'Say, said the prospect of touring again was exciting. 'We were just young famous kids who had a dream, and that dream came true for us,' she said. 'So the prospect of being able to go out and do it again and not only with each other, but with Liberty X, is really exciting.' Jessica Taylor of Liberty X described the reunion as 'for fun and for celebration', noting there was 'none of the pressure that any of us had when we were kids'.

Tickets went on general sale at 9am on 16 October.
