Wallabies reshuffle flyhalf for second Bledisloe Cup Test

Australia coach Les Kiss has named Declan Meredith as starting flyhalf for Saturday's second Bledisloe Cup Test against New Zealand in Sydney, with uncapped playmaker Harry McLaughlin-Phillips on the bench. The changes come after Carter Gordon and Ben Donaldson were unavailable through leg injuries.

Les Kiss suffered his first defeat as Wallabies coach in last week's 50-19 loss at Eden Park. New Zealand led 13-10 at half-time but dominated the second half, adding five further tries. The defeat ensured the All Blacks will retain the Bledisloe Cup for the 24th consecutive year. Australia have lost their last 12 meetings against New Zealand.

Further changes to the team include Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii moving into the centres with Isaac Henry after Len Ikitau suffered a head injury and Hunter Paisami was suspended. Harry Potter starts on the left wing. Kiss said: 'We got a clear picture last weekend of where we need to be better' and vowed the team would 'return fire' in Sydney.
