Jeremy Clarkson's pub hosts biggest Fox Red Labrador meet-up

Around 640 fox red Labradors and owners are gathering at Jeremy Clarkson's Oxfordshire pub on Saturday.

Jeremy Clarkson's pub, The Farmer's Dog in Asthall, is hosting the second Fox Red Labrador meet-up on Saturday, October 24, from 11am to 2pm. The event is sold out, with around 640 people expected to attend, including 340 owners and their fox red Labradors. More than 1,000 people enquired about tickets.

The first gathering at the pub in 2024 drew 179 fox red Labradors and was attended by Clarkson and his partner, Lisa Hogan, with their own dogs, Sansa and Arya. Organiser Michael Singer, based in Cambridgeshire, said he received continued requests to return to the pub after the initial success.

Singer admitted he initially feared the gathering could be 'disastrous' because of the numbers involved, leading organisers to introduce a ticketing system. The venue does not usually host organised dog meets. Dog-and-owner tickets were priced at £5, while companion tickets cost £2, with proceeds supporting charity causes including a farmers' mental health charity.
