Jeremy Clarkson's Oxfordshire pub, The Farmer's Dog, will host the largest Fox Red Labrador gathering on Saturday, with proceeds going to charity.
Jeremy Clarkson's Oxfordshire pub, The Farmer's Dog, is hosting the biggest Fox Red Labrador meet-up this weekend in Asthall. Around 340 owners and their dogs are expected to attend on Saturday, October 24, from 11am to 2pm, with the event drawing around 640 people in total.
This marks the second Fox Red Meet at the pub, following a successful first event in 2024 which saw 179 Fox Red Labradors gather. The event attracted more than 1,000 ticket enquiries.
Cambridgeshire-based organiser Michael Singer and his wife Kerrie arranged the original meet-up after visiting the pub with their own Fox Red Labrador, Ellie. They contacted Diddly Squat Farm and The Farmer's Dog marketing team to secure approval for a second event, despite the venue not typically hosting organised dog gatherings.
Michael Singer said he was initially concerned the event could become 'disastrous' due to the large numbers, leading organisers to introduce a ticketing system to manage attendance. Tickets are priced at £5 for dog-and-owner entry and £2 for companions, with proceeds going to charity.
Michael said: 'It was a two birds, one stone moment. I get to see a lot of Fox Red Labs, plus I get to go to Jeremy's pub.' He added: 'Whenever you take a Fox Red Labrador somewhere, everyone's so excited. When you bring them all together, everyone has a smile on their face and loves their dog.'
