Leeds United face Manchester United at Elland Road on Sunday in a Premier League match where the visitors are considered underdogs.

Leeds United will host Manchester United at Elland Road on Sunday in a Premier League fixture where the visitors are considered underdogs. Manchester United have endured a poor run of form, drawing with Fulham and Tottenham before losing 2-0 to Atlético Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday evening. Manager Michael Carrick faces mounting pressure, with the club experiencing its worst start to a season for 40 years. Bookmakers have Carrick as the favourite to be the next manager to leave his post.

Leeds, by contrast, are in positive spirits despite losing to Arsenal last Saturday. Manager Daniel Farke has had a full week of training to prepare his squad, compared to Manchester United's disrupted schedule involving European travel. Lisandro Martínez criticised Manchester United's technical director Jason Wilcox after the Atlético loss, saying he 'expected more' and expressing disappointment at the squad's preparation.

Analysts including Ally McCoist and Simon Jordan have suggested Leeds will be strong contenders for the match, with McCoist stating he is 'not sure' he fancies Manchester United at Elland Road. The match officials for the fixture have been confirmed by the Premier League.
