Liam Gallagher has hinted at a new Oasis album in a social media post to a fan.
Liam Gallagher has appeared to hint at a new Oasis album in a post on social media platform X. A fan with the username @oasisekk commented that 'Oasis have SEVEN great albums and those songs will LIVE FOREVER.' Gallagher responded: '8, including the new 1. I mean, happy birthday.'
The comment was framed tongue-in-cheek, likely responding to widespread fan speculation and demand for new music. Oasis reunited for the hugely successful Oasis Live '25 tour last year, bringing the Manchester band back to the stage after splitting in 2009 and a 16-year absence. The reunion was fronted by Liam and his brother Noel Gallagher, who became one of Britain's biggest bands during the 1990s.
The cryptic post prompted varied reactions from fans. One said 'LIAM DON'T JOKE ABOUT A NEW ALBUM,' while another wrote 'Liam, I'm at work... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DON'T LIE...' Others demanded to know when the new album would arrive. Whether Gallagher's comment represents a genuine announcement or remains playful banter remains unclear.
