Love Island stars Samie Elishi and Tyrique Hyde have announced they are expecting their first child. The couple got together in March this year after admiring each other from afar and went official in May. They announced the pregnancy in a video posted to Instagram showing them during an ultrasound appointment, where they were seen beaming at the sonogram with the song Forever My Lady playing in the background.
Samie appeared on Love Island's winter series in 2023, which she won with Ciaran Davies, though the pair split weeks later. She later competed on All Stars this year. Tyrique appeared on the same year's summer series and had frequently called Samie his top Islander over the years. He later commentated on her All Stars season on his Twitch channel and reached out to her after the show.
Their announcement was met with congratulations from fellow Love Island contestants in the comments section. According to Metro, their baby is expected to arrive in spring 2027.
