Madison Beer heckled by Chargers fan at Disneyland performance

A Chargers fan heckled pop star Madison Beer during a Disneyland performance, asking her to 'fix' the struggling team.

Madison Beer performed 'Please Come Home for Christmas' at Disneyland on Monday night as part of a holiday segment for the Disney Parks Holiday Special. During the performance, a Chargers fan in the audience heckled her, shouting 'Fix the Chargers!' Beer appeared to take the incident in stride, smiling and shrugging her shoulders as she continued to perform.

Beer became the focus of Chargers fans' attention after becoming engaged to quarterback Justin Herbert over the summer. The couple drew headlines when Beer attended training camp, and Herbert proposed to her this summer, making her a prominent figure associated with the franchise.

The timing of the heckle comes as the Chargers are mired in a historically poor season. Entering Week 8, the team is 0-6, making them the only winless team in the NFL. This is particularly disappointing given expectations heading into the season, as the team had won 11 games in each of the previous two seasons under head coach Jim Harbaugh and hired offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel in hopes of improving the offence.

The Chargers' offence has struggled significantly, ranking 30th in scoring, 26th in yards per game, 27th in third-down conversion rate, 23rd in red-zone scoring and 30th in touchdowns per game. The Daily Mail reports that some Chargers fans have blamed Beer for Herbert's struggles, with one fan posting on social media: 'I truly blame Madison Beer for this loss.'

After a bye week, the Chargers will face the Rams on Sunday. The New York Post suggests that changes may be made to the team ahead of the matchup as the franchise attempts to salvage its season.
