A 23-year-old Glasgow man pleaded guilty to supplying cocaine and heroin worth £2.6 million found in his flat last December.
Jordan Wetherill, 23, of Parkhead in Glasgow, pleaded guilty at the High Court in Glasgow on Friday to being concerned in the supply of cocaine and heroin. Officers discovered the drugs at his flat in Shettleston on 21 December. More than 100 blocks of white powder marked with a 'FedEx' style delivery company label were found, along with heroin in a supermarket carrier bag. The drugs were mainly taped up in the living room among Santa gift bags.
Prosecutor Jennifer Nicholson-White told the court that the cocaine blocks were analysed and each weighed approximately one kilogram. A lesser amount of the drug was also discovered. Wetherill's fingerprints at the scene linked him to the crime. The cocaine was valued at £2,591,000 with the heroin at £30,000.
Wetherill was found in the flat with another individual when officers carried out the raid. His defence counsel Billy Lavelle had moved for bail to be continued, but Lord Ghosh remanded him in custody. Sentencing has been deferred until next month in Edinburgh.
