Antonio Conte has dismissed reports of advanced negotiations with Manchester United as unfounded speculation.

Antonio Conte has dismissed reports linking him with Manchester United as unfounded speculation. In an Instagram statement, the 57-year-old said there are currently no advanced negotiations with any club and that his next managerial move will be a carefully considered decision made only when conditions are right.

Conte has been linked with United after manager Michael Carrick came under pressure following a 4-1 Champions League defeat to Como. The Red Devils are without a win in seven matches. Conte, who previously managed Chelsea and Tottenham in the Premier League, left Napoli in May after winning Serie A in 2025.

Conte also hit out at reports suggesting reservations exist among Old Trafford hierarchy about his strong personality and demanding management style, calling these claims unfounded. Mirror Sport reports that United rejected Conte as manager in 2021 due to concerns that the squad would not respond well to his micro-managing approach, though this remains unconfirmed by other outlets.
