Maya Jama has impressed in the Celebrity Traitors competition, according to contestant Amol Rajan.

Maya Jama has impressed in the Celebrity Traitors competition, with eliminated contestant Amol Rajan describing her as 'a revelation'. Writing about his experience on the show, Rajan noted that she is 'lovely and humble' with 'no airs and graces', contrasting with her public persona as host of Love Island.

The producers' decision to announce the line-up three days before filming began gave contestants time to research each other and plan their strategies. Rajan wrote detailed profiles of his fellow players to prepare for the game.

Rajan has also identified a potential strategic mistake by the Traitors—Jama, James Acaster and newly-recruited King Kenny. The trio were tasked with orchestrating a 'murder in plain sight' by making someone yawn and asking 'am I boring you?' to eliminate them. However, they appeared in the same room together to plan their next move, which Rajan suggests breaks a pattern observed in previous series. According to analysis by eliminated Traitor Professor Hannah Fry, Traitors in earlier seasons never socialised together, and this visible collaboration could threaten their chances.
