Six Spaniel cross Lurcher puppies seek homes before Halloween
Summarised from 4 outlets · Updated 23 Oct, 06:38 · Archive
Six eight-week-old Spaniel cross Lurcher puppies named after Addams Family characters are ready for adoption through Animal Rescue Cumbria. The litter consists of three females—Wednesday, Morticia and Ophelia—and three males: Gomez, Fester and Pugsley.
Animal Rescue Cumbria staff said the puppies are ready to settle into loving homes where they can learn and develop into confident adult dogs. Prospective owners must understand that raising a puppy requires considerable time and consistency.
The shelter explained that new owners will need to help the puppies learn basics including toilet training, lead walking and good manners around people and animals. The puppies will benefit from positive, reward-based training, gentle exposure to new experiences and plenty of play, enrichment, rest and socialisation as they develop. Staff stressed that whilst puppies are wonderful companions, taking one on is hugely rewarding only if owners fully understand the commitment involved.
