First Lady Melania Trump is now tied with President Donald Trump in betting markets for the 2027 Nobel Peace Prize.

First Lady Melania Trump has joined her husband as a contender for the 2027 Nobel Peace Prize, according to betting odds on prediction platform Kalshi. The couple are tied at 1.2 per cent odds, with Melania having initially reached second place at 4 per cent before dropping.

Melania's nomination comes after she reportedly helped broker a ceasefire in Oleshky, a Russian-occupied Ukrainian city. The White House has claimed she negotiated the ceasefire unilaterally. However, critics have questioned this narrative, suggesting that recognition should go elsewhere, including to Pope Leo XIV.

President Trump has long sought the Nobel Peace Prize. During a recent Sunday rally, he complained that despite his expectations, the 2026 award went to former UN human rights chief Navanethem Pillay. Other candidates for the 2027 prize include Yulia Navalnaya, the International Criminal Court, and Elon Musk.
