Carrick uncertain on three United players for Leeds

Summarised from Evening Standard's report · Updated 16 Oct, 14:50 · Archive

Michael Carrick has given tentative updates on three Manchester United players ahead of the trip to Leeds this weekend. Luke Shaw is nursing a thigh issue and Kobbie Mainoo picked up a knock in the 1-1 draw with Tottenham last weekend. Benjamin Sesko, one of United's recognised centre-forwards, is struggling with a shin problem that has hampered him since the back end of last term.

Carrick said on Friday that he will 'see about' Shaw and Mainoo, with Sesko requiring further checks and 'still a little bit further away' from fitness. It remains to be seen whether Shaw and Mainoo will feature against Leeds on Sunday. Carrick insisted his side are in 'a good place' despite sitting 12th in the league and being on a winless run of five games.
