Summarised from 2 outlets · Updated 16 Oct, 06:32 · Archive

More than 4,000 students will graduate from the University of Suffolk in ceremonies running from 16 to 22 October. Chancellor Zeb Soanes will confer degrees at the opening ceremony at Great Yarmouth Minster for University of Suffolk students at East Coast College, with ceremonies then moving to a marquee on the Ipswich Waterfront for the remainder of the week.

Vice-chancellor Professor Jenny Higham said: "Graduation week is an incredibly special time for the university, seeing friends and family come together with our graduates to celebrate their achievements. These awards recognise the dedication and hard work of our graduates across their time here, and we look forward to seeing their future success in whatever career or study paths they embark on."

Among those graduating is Lauren Searle from Ipswich, who will receive a BSc (Hons) in Psychology. Ms Searle said it was an incredibly proud moment, especially as the first in her family to attend university. She has represented the university at NUS conferences, contributed to research and helped organise Reclaim the Night marches with the Students' Union.
