Two men were stabbed in Omagh after their van was forced into a carpark by another vehicle.

Two men aged 31 and 27 were stabbed in an attack in Omagh at approximately 1.30am on Thursday, October 22. Three male assailants emerged from a blue or grey five-door saloon car that had forced the victims' van into a carpark at the former health centre on Old Mountfield Road, attacking them with a knife, billhook and machete. Three other people, including two women, were also in the van at the time.

Police are investigating a potential link to an earlier altercation at a petrol station in the Campsie area involving the same two victims, during which one was struck by a silver Vauxhall Insignia. The stabbing occurred shortly after this incident. The victims are being treated in hospital for injuries described as serious but not life threatening. Detectives are appealing for information and CCTV, doorbell, dashcam or other footage that could assist the investigation.
