LEGO has announced its first East Anglia store will open in Norwich's Chantry Place on Thursday, October 29.

LEGO has announced the opening of its first store in East Anglia, located in the former Escape Hunt unit at the entrance to Chantry Place in Norwich. The shop will open on Thursday, October 29. The store will feature a Pick-a-Brick Wall and a Build-a-Minifigure Tower.

Chantry Place had previously kept details of the opening quiet, only confirming the store would launch over the October half-term. Jo Bates, general manager at Chantry Place, said the shopping centre wanted to 'give LEGO fans across the region the chance to get involved and celebrate with us'.

A competition has been launched to mark the opening, with prizes including a place at a special preview event before the official launch. Children aged seven to 16 must build a creative model using just 50 LEGO bricks, while older fans can submit photographs of their collections, including custom builds and vintage sets. Entries close at midnight on Sunday, October 18. The competition is open via Chantry Place's social media channels and by email, with entries decided by public vote.
