The Notebook musical will premiere at London's Judi Dench Theatre on April 13, 2027, following previews from March 10. The production is based on Nicholas Sparks' bestselling novel and the 2004 film starring Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams, telling the story of Noah and Allie, a young couple separated by class differences who reunite years later and must confront their unresolved feelings.

The musical is directed by Michael Greif and Schele Williams, with choreography by Katie Spelman. Singer-songwriter Ingrid Michaelson provides the music and lyrics. Michaelson is known for songs including The Way I Am and Girls Chase Boys. She described the musical as 'such an honour' and 'beyond thrilling' for it to be the first production at the newly renamed theatre after Dame Judi Dench.

Sparks said he could not have predicted when he published The Notebook 30 years ago that the story would have such lasting global impact. Casting for the UK production has not yet been announced.
