Shropshire Chamber of Commerce is offering discounted Cyber Essentials certification to members during Cyber Awareness Month. The initiative aims to make cyber resilience more accessible and affordable for businesses of all sizes. The chamber has partnered with four IASME-accredited companies to support the scheme. These are CNI Security Solutions and Round Cyber from Telford, and Start Tech and Securebtyes Solutions from Shrewsbury. These companies will guide businesses through the certification process from initial readiness checks to full certification.
Ruth Ross, chief executive of Shropshire Chamber of Commerce, said: 'Every organisation relies on digital systems to operate, communicate and serve customers, which means cyber resilience has become a core business responsibility.' The Chamber also held an AI for Business seminar at The Quad in Telford as part of its tech-themed events calendar, bringing together local experts to explore the challenges and opportunities presented by artificial intelligence. Shropshire Live reports that the event featured speakers from Purple Frog Data, Harper Adams University and Imagine Training.
