Six Essex postcodes have celebrated success in the Postcode Lottery's latest daily prize draw. The winning postcodes are spread across Basildon, Harlow, Thurrock and the Colchester area, with each winning £1,000.
Players holding tickets in the winning postcodes automatically receive £1,000 for each ticket they hold. The Postcode Lottery, formerly known as People's Postcode Lottery, awards cash prizes to players based on their postcode across the UK.
The Essex winners were part of a wider series of draws that also included a £250,000 prize awarded in WD3 4AB and a £90,909 Millionaire Street Prize awarded in LE13 0LN.
The Postcode Lottery uses ticket sales to raise money for charities and community organisations. According to the lottery, a minimum of 33 per cent of every ticket sold goes to charities and good causes, helping to raise millions of pounds for charitable projects across the UK and around the world.
The lottery operates through daily prize draws that give players the chance to win based on their postcode location.
