LUUDE and Hermitude headline SNACK NYE at Claremont Showgrounds

Australian electronic acts LUUDE and Hermitude will headline the SNACK NYE festival at Claremont Showgrounds this summer. The festival will feature six stages and attracts crowds exceeding 20,000 in recent years.
The centrepiece is a distinctive 1,800 square metre stage inspired by Greece's Acropolis, standing five storeys high, 60 metres deep and 30 metres wide. Festival director Aedan Buckley said the stage will envelope festival-goers in an immersive experience. "People won't simply be looking at a stage. The stage will be all around them," he said. "The lights and sound won't just be in front of you; they'll be beside you and behind you as well."
Supporting acts include Choomba, Stace Cadet, Curdin, Sammythesinner, Gouldy, Shann, Stayseif and Tashnat. Attendees will also experience a worldwide exclusive performance by One More Time Again, a tribute to Daft Punk and Fred again. The Acropolis stage is unlikely to be recreated in future years due to its scale and cost, Buckley said.
Several returning precincts have been reworked, including an Amsterdam-inspired Red Light District featuring dancers, lasers and interactive windows, along with Sin City's showgirls, Club Smirnoff Silent Disco and a tattoo parlour.
